Mangifera pajang commonly known as Bambangan mango, is a wild mango species native to Borneo (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei). Unlike common mango varieties, it is mostly found growing in forests and rural areas. The fruit is large and round with thick, rough brownish skin, giving it a very different appearance from regular mangoes. Inside, the pulp is bright yellow to orange, soft, and juicy, with a strong aroma and a distinct sweet–sour flavor.
